Anita Lewton-Moukkes - Writer/ director Born : Veronica Qui Nguyen

Anita is an experienced dramatist and filmmaker with a background in theatre performance & dramatic art to BA level (Univ. of London). She was Artistic Director of Stephen Daldry’s (The Crown, Billy Elliot, The Reader) theatre company in Sheffield. Anita then went to Los Angeles and studied film production and screenwriting (MA, Screenwriting U.C.L.A). After working in production at Carolco Studios she returned to write & produce drama & filmed content which has sold internationally. Anita has written for Channel 4 TV, BBC TV & teaches screenwriting and filmmaking for major UK organisations & universities.

Anita’s work has been selected for The Bureau UK’s EU Writers workshop, Cinemed pitch projects France, MFI Script2Film lab Greece. Anita has been a selected filmmaker on tours of India’s production industry & that of Tunisia, MENA Region, both with the British Council & was part of PACT UK and Tursak Turkey’s production round table 2021. She has lived in London, Los Angeles, Paris & Algeria.
